St Andrew’s Scouts
2nd Lancashire (girls) and 5th Lancashire (boys).
Both groups are sponsored by St. Andrews Church and have been since their formation. The groups are open to youngsters from any religious denomination. Both groups aare members of The European Scout Federation (British Association).
It is composed of the following sections:
Otters: boys and girls aged 5-7years. This is a mixed group meeting Tuesday 5pm
Girl cubs aged 7-11 years meet Tuesday 6pm
Girl Scouts aged 11-16years meet Tuesday 7.45pm until 9.30pm
Boy Cubs meet Friday 6pm until 7.30pm
Boy Scouts meet Friday 7.45pm until 9.30pm
Rangers girls 16 years with no upper age limit meet Tuesday 7.30pm
Rovers Boys 16 years with no upper age limit meet Wednesday 7.30pm
The European Scout Federation is independent from other British Scout Movements. and keeps to the traditional methods of scouting that the founder Robert Baden-Powell set out in Scouting for Boys.
We use the patrol system for progressive training of Tenderfoot, second class and first class badges.
